Childhood memories
After reading Jeff's blog entry about saturday morning cartoons, it got me thinking about other shows that I loved as a child. The first to come to mind was the "Dukes of Hazzard". That was a bad ass T.V. show.I had the pajamas, lunch box, and toys. I remember watching Bo and Luke Duke slide across the hood, jump in the window, and take off with Rosco P. Coletrain hot on their trail. Of course, Rosco almost never caught them Duke boys. They lost him with a jump across a canyon in the General Lee. Daisy Duke and Uncle Jessie were usually somewhere close in the jeep, while crazy Cooter was bringing up the rear in the tow truck to tow Rosco and Boss Hogg back to town. It was fine american broadcasting. The best part of the whole show, the part that took it to the next level, was the narration by Waylon Jennings. His witty comments made the show. So today I pay tribute to the "Dukes of Hazzard" Thank you and God Bless America!
A great show indeed.
