The way I feel.
As I watch the news about what is happening in New Orleans and the rest of the area devastated by the storm, I am suddenly filled with rage and anger. I am usually a fairly easy going person and try to keep my temper in check, but with the constant stream of news about the idiots looting and robbing, I want to scream. I am overcome with feeling that I do not like having. It is a feeling that I can't really even describe. How came someone do this? How can they take advantage of people that are hurting so much already? I can fully understand people trying to get food and water. They have to survive. But no one could ever justify looting other things like electronics, jewelry, and other unnessesary things. I say, Shoot them on site! If they are carrying anything not needed to survive, Shoot them! They have no right to do what they are doing. They have no reguard for anyone but themselves. They are the scum of the earth. They do not deserve to be able to breathe the same air we breathe. I know I sound heartless, I feel heartless. It is a feeling of almost evil. I hate to say that because it makes me no better than them. But it is an uncontrollable feeling. I know as a christian, I am to forgive. I can't! I want to but can't. I think about how the world would be better without them. I don't really know how to deal with this type of emotion. Lord, please grant me the ability to deal with this and be with the families who are needing you so much right now.
I know this is a depressing post, but it is some of the things going on in my mind and it makes me feel better to just get it out.
